Epworth and the Isle of Axholme Rotary Club was host to an array of visitors at the Red Lion in Epworth at their meeting on Thursday 31st May. Eleven members of Hull Pentagon Rotary Club, a member from Stainborough Rotary Club and his wife, as well as a team of local cyclists.
It was a first for Epworth and Isle of Axholme Club when Hull Pentagon indicted a new member to their club during their visit. Rotarian Janet Green was warmly welcomed to Rotary.
Rotarian Simon Cliff (E and IOA) introduced Paul Seaman, Marian Milne and Julie who were part of the seven strong team who successfully completed the 144 mile 'Coast2Coast' cycling challenge to raise money for the Wheelchair Foundation. Simon presented President Tricia Barthorpe with a cheque for £1,200.
